Living in a sleepy little town of a little over 5600 people, there's not a whole lot of excitement that goes on. Last Fall after our High School Football Team took the State Championship, excitement rocked for months around here. Small town living is perfect for us.
Friday evening is usually spent heading to Walmart to get the grocery shopping done and meds for Mr. P picked up. As I pulled in last night I thought is that what I think it is? I had to giggle to myself, what fond childhood memories I have of the song.
Do you remember singing along with the commercial?
Oh I wish I were an Oscar Mayer Wiener....
That is what I'd truly like to be......
imagine yourself behind the wheel
driving this around? I think it would
be a blast! Someone
really had a stroke of genius when they put this
idea to paper and brought it to life.

taken is unknown, they were just too cute.
I'm not sure
why the Oscar Wiener Mobile was in town,
I was lucky to get these shots, they were packing
up and heading out to their next destination. I over
heard someone asking if they had hot dogs they
were giving out, the reply was no, they were given
whistles instead. :-)
I hope you enjoyed seeing the Oscar Wiener Mobile
come to our small town. :-))

It has been years since I have seen the mobile. i remember when just about everyone knew that jingle.
On my cell phone I have pictures of the Oscar Meyer Mobile! What fun!
It's amazing what constitutes excitement in a small town. I live in a small town, also!! Enjoy the weekend. Sally
Just another reason why we love living in a small town!
Cute post, Lynne.
I remember the Oscar Meyer commercial and would love to see the weinermobile in my town. How much fun!
Hugs,

Lynne, I so remember that song and the mobile is just way tooooooo cute. How fun to see it in person.
Also I am so happy that you tried the windshield cleaner and like it. I think the stuff is magic. Plus it is so much cheaper than the real window products. I spray everything in the whole house with it. Hugs, Marty
I remember the Oscar Mayer song, our little boy was all about it. thanks for stopping in. Happy weekend

I've seen this before but not from all angles. I'm glad you shared them with us bz it truly shows what an amazing car it is. Do you remember the rest of the song....or maybe we made it up as kids. "oh, I'm glad I'm not an Oscar Meyer weiner. That is what I'd truly hate to be, cuz if I were an Oscar Meyer weiner everyone would be a bitin' me!" (short for biting)
Of course I remember the song! The weiner mobile is great! I would lOVE to drive it around, I wonder how you get that job???? Thanks for the pics! Hope Mr. P. is Ok today! XO, Pinky
Oh, too funny!! I've only seen it once in person. It was years ago and it came to town to "audition" kids to sing for a commercial. I don't know if anyone ever did get "hired". My son was a little guy then and he sang the song for them!
Does that ever bring back memories! I think your little town must've made the map because the wienermobille is pretty darn special! Vanna
Hmmm I found out that Wein is German for Vienna and hence "wien-ers" (weiners) are named for Vienna/Austria...also hence vienna sausages~!.... Oh the useless facts I have stored in my head now! Lol! Vanna
