~The Grapes of Wrath ~

With our temperatures being in the 100's the last few days,
outside dining isn't on the agenda.
A couple of Sunday's ago I played on the front porch
with a couple of tablescapes.
This won out for today's post.

Late evening dining with a cool refreshing drink, a slight breeze,
a bit of music and the sun
starting to go down ....
Doesn't get much better than this.

I chose the green leaf bowl filled to the brim
over flowing with grapes as an
off centered centerpiece.

Luscious looking....

Using mismatched plate settings adds a
bit more interest to the table set for 2.
To the right you can see I started with a woven charger,
then I all of a sudden changed my mind.
The plate setting to the left of the picture is without the charger.

All stacked up.

The leaf desert plate is one of four.
Using the grape plates as a charger.
The dinner plates purchased many years
ago at Bed Bath and Beyond.
Close up....Looks like we might have an
unexpected guest. :-))To soften the corner I added a
fern with a few architectural elements.
Cream colored flatware a Target
find many years ago. Sun casts shadows  through the
back of the chair to add more
architectural elements.
From above..

We're currently on the West edge of the front porch. If you
look 68' to the East end you can see how I decorated
the bakers rack in this post.

I agree with Christine. The colors and style are very refreshing and cooling. A perfect place to end the day with a wonderful meal. Given how those bunnies love your house Lynne that could actually be a real bunny under that table! *winks* Vanna

Hi Lynne, its so frustrating when the hot summers keep us from enjoying them. Your tablescape is absolutely beautiful, and i agree mixing it up does add interest. Hope you are doing well these days.
