~ She Finally Shows Her Beauty ~

The new red mulch helps to showcase
the beauty of the
Ever
 Blooming Rose Bush.
If you like you can
see how sad it looked
 before,
you can go here to see
those embarrassing
pictures.
When I started putting down the mulch
 I was
worried the rose bush
wouldn't bloom again this year.
 Since
these pictures were taken we've had a ton
of rain and it's
 bloomed and bloomed.

I hope all of you are in and staying cool.
We have extremely hot
temperatures
for our area as early as it is for the season.
The winds are blowing which
makes it a bit easier to be outside.
My work continues around the house,
hot or not. I'm on mission, :-))
to get things spruced up. A while
back we had roof damage
from one of the
 numerous storms that came through
our area. I'm happy to report
 that work
 is complete,
I"ll have
 pictures to share
in upcoming posts,
 they may not be the
 most exciting pictures,
 I was impressed
at all the work that
 goes into
 tearing off and putting
a new roof on.
Until then...

Your roses are absolutely gorgeous! I especially love the fourth picture. Great shot! Looks like someone else likes your roses!

I know what you mean about the heat. It has been hot here but I cannot let that stop me from getting my projects done.

I hope you are having a great week!

I think everything looks better with a little mulch. Your roses are just beautiful! I am going to try a climbing rose this year. Wish me luck!

Sorry about your roof but glad you were safe. We are having a heatwave here in Illinois, too.

XO,
Jane

Hi Pat, I don't think it's as hot today as yesterday. Just finished walking the dog and notice all the plants look like they've gone days with out water due to all the hot wind. I hope you're staying in and cool.... hugs ~lynne~

Your garden and roses are so pretty! I need to mulch my flower beds - to hot to deal with it right now.
Sorry you got roof damage.
Got hot here early this year also. Stay cool.
Enjoy your evening.

Hi Lynne, The mulching you've added to your flower beds really makes them look so nicely manicured, and your roses are absolutely gorgeous!!

Well, we've been having rainy winter weather here in Cali til today, the sun finally came out and it was perfect weather not too hot or too cold...I do hope it stays that way.

Hugs,
Sherri:)

Beautiful flowerbed!

I think the mulch will be good for keeping dirt and disease off of the rose. Remember that as it decomposes it will take nitrogen from your soil.

Very pretty! I think I saw a tiny spider web in a couple of the close ups of the rose.

Mulch can be the finishing touch to a garden bed. I just added black mulch to one of my beds and am so much happier with it. Lovely job!

Lovely!! But...it's the countryside in the background that caught my eye. How glorious it must be to look out into your yard and not see your neighbors yard in front and rooftops in the back.
