~Mother Nature Has the Floor~

Mother Nature sure has a mind of her own, right now she's speaking loud and clear in our neck of the woods. With an annual snow fall of 20" we've gone well over that topping out at over 30". With all the hazards snow creates, if you look hard enough you can still find the beauty.

I slipped outside last night and took this shot around 11 or so. With the winds howling and snow falling, the untouched snow was incredibly beautiful.

I shared this shot yesterday via Facebook, it was taken about 4:00 p.m.

This is how the table looked this morning at 10:00 A.M.

Our forecast is for more snow this evening, and thunderstorms on Sunday with temperatures in the 60's. An old saying us Missourians have, "if you don't like the weather wait 15 minutes, it will change".

I'm off to do a bit more "moving around" of a few things. I hope you're enjoying the beauty of the day. Until next time....

Fabulous photos Lynne! Our snow is sticking around today. I've been trying to get some shots of the birds outside the windows, without much luck! I imagine it will all be gone by Sunday.

Lynne, Thanks for stopping by. We got 8 inches of snow yesterday and last night. It is very wet and the ditches are full and the streets are dirty. It is very hard for me to find a path for ms. Sissy to do her do!Richard

At least this time of year we know these storms won't last for long! We had a huge snow storm yesterday and all night too. I'm not a fan, especially since I have to take off work at 10:00 to go shovel Kaje' out so she can go to work! I hate shoveling the stuff! Oh well, spring's just around the corner and I can hardly wait! Hope you're doing well in your neck of the woods.

Boy, you're getting slammed this year! We were supposed to have 'snowmaggedon' yesterday and today. We didn't get one flake yesterday. Today we got about 6". It's fine with me not to get hit hard with a snowstorm.

Stay warm!

Your photos are amazing...I have a hard time imagining that much snow. Rarely have I experienced more than a flurry. However, during our "exile" in PA, we were told by the Chamber of Commerce that the annual snowfall was about 16 inches (in all the brochures). Our new neighbors laughed at that and asked "which snowfall?" Sure enough, we had 28inches on Valentine's day that year...and no power for 5 days. Boy was I missing home (FL)!

How I love snow...and watching it fall. Unfortunately it never made it's way to us. I CAN see it on the mountains from my family room window. There is a small space between rooftops and I can see the San Bernadino mountain range through the roof tops. Gorgeous.

I DO love your blog and don't get over here half often enough.
I was just showing my husband your beautiful ceiling and telling him how I would love for ours to look like that! No feedback at all! :)

Thank you for sharing your snow with us... :)
