Ice and Magic

The weather forecast for our area is calling for more snow, lots of snow. As I watched the forecast on last nights news Katie said our area could get as much as 9.5". Wow! I pray she is sooooooo wrong. Before it starts here I thought I would share a few shots I took last weekend while Bailey and I were out taking a walk.

As Bailey and I walked the edge of the lake we discovered this huge hole in the ice, we thought an animal might have dug the hole out to be able to get fresh water. What are your thoughts?

As I finish this post, we still have no snow not even a flake, and even a hint of sun shining. With fingers crossed the weather forecast is wrong. Until next time...

I heard 30" here on Friday!!! It is raining right now but the weather changes from one minute to the next in New England:) Your photos are beautiful. I'll bet that lake is pretty to look at all year long.

Enjoyed your photos. Looks so cold - I was having chills looking at them. Does look like some foot prints of an animal leading up to the hold.
Light snow predicted for here tomorrow night. Around here, it could go from one extreme to the other - hope it does not snow.
Enjoy your day.

I never tire of looking at snow pictures...yours are gorgeous. I love how the sky in the last few photos mimics the snow!

We are due for some but I haven't seen the weather. So far we haven't gotten a lot for this winter. I don't really mind it as long as I don't have to drive in it!

Jane

Hi Girlfriend...

Ohhh boy, it really does look cold at your place but the snow looks so pretty! I really enjoyed your beautiful photos, my friend! We had a winter storm move into our area this morning...it's cold and trying to snow! I don't think we'll get much of the white stuff though!

I see that Bailey has been spending some time at Grandma's...I just looked at your last post! What a sweetheart that little guy is! You'll have to tell him that I said...he makes a "GRAND" snow angel! Too cute!

Well dear friend, you stay warm! I hope that my note is finding you all well!

Love ya,
Chari

It's so neat to see the beautiful snow pictures; I'm not sure I'd want any snow here, but I sure love looking at the pictures!

I love the quote you have at the bottom of your header by Emily Post.... so true!
Hugs to you my friend!

Well....we certainly did get close to 9" didn't we? It was snowing here off and on today, too. Plus, the forecast is calling for more tomorrow night and Sunday. It's getting old!! :)

I loved going on the walk with you around the lake....it's a gorgeous spot!

Hope all is well and you are staying snug and warm!!
