Ever so gently he started unwrapping the ornaments.
Placing it just so...... then he tired of putting "these" ornaments on, he said," it wasn't as much fun as the other tree." We didn't get the other tree up while he was here that weekend, but promises to come this weekend and we'll finish the red and gold tree in the living area.
When decorating for Christmas I'm more of a traditionalist, I lean more to the reds, greens and gold for the season. I truly stepped out of my comfort zone when I fell in love with ornaments having to do with deer and pheasants. I purchased several of those ornaments and fondly call this my Pheasant tree. Mr. P. was afraid I would tire of it, go and purchase something else to adorn the tree. Have to say I love the tree, it is perfect in the dining room with the chocolate brown curtains and the brown toile dishes that grace the serving pieces.

Lynne, I love it! This is my style. I guess living in a house with all guys - has done it! What a coincidence for you to share the pheasant tree - I'm working on a guest bedroom with pheasants in the inspiration fabric. Please head over and help me finish the project with your comments!
Have a fun time decorating.

Hi there Lynn, I loved seeing your tree because I am very country oriented with traditional decorations but this was truly stunning-I especially loved the deer ornaments. Simply breath taking. Thanks for sharing and giving us new ideas for ornaments.
Have a warm wonderful week.
