Always Amazed

What a glorious weekend it promises to be. The sun is shining, the birds are singing and my grandson is coming for the weekend. It can't get any better than that. :-))
While enjoying my morning cup of coffee on the patio outside my shop this morning, I was amazed at how much white there is around our home. The beauty against the blue sky was incredible.

I'm not sure where this rose bush came from. My girlfriend and I were talking about it just yesterday. I've planted all the flowers and bushes around our home and this certainly wasn't one of them. I'm wondering if it's a multi-floral rose that grow in the fence rows that all the farmers detest? If any of you know I would love for you to share what you think it is.
The white peony was blooming as well, almost looks as though it's been hit with a bit of pink.

As always Murphy is close by. He is just the best companion a gal can have. :-))
As always, thank you for stopping by and saying hello. I hope you all have a fabulous weekend.
hugs ~lynne~

Your peonies are gorgeous. We only have one and it is the dark red/maroon sort of color. Our neighbor has a white one.

We were at Three French Hens in ST Louis yesterday. They had the most realistic looking peonies I've ever seen. My daughter and I felt like we could actually smell the scent of peonies...they are that realistic. Anyhoo...I succumbed and bought the last three they had, at a price that caused J to have a hot flash..no kiddin'!LOL

Your weekend sounds wonderful. I was snapping a shot or two of my new bike, on the patio this morning. It's only 75, but it felt so hot...it won't be long though until we will be saying, wish the temp was in 70's.

We are going to make a run for the lake and take advantage of the weather and pre-Memorial Day peace and quiet.

I do love peonies! I especially love the deep red ones. We have one planted in our rock garden but it hasn't bloomed the past couple of years. I don't know if it's getting enough love or what, lol! I wish I could help with those flowers but I don't know what they are. I bet Tootsie can tell us. Have a fantastic weekend.

Is it perhaps a Lady Banks? Whatever it is, it's gorgeous! And your peonies are beautiful, I imagine the scent is just wonderful. Glad you're having a good weekend! Hugs, Kathy

Hi Lynne,
The rose and peonies are both beautiful! I am wondering if the rose is Seagull.
Enjoy your weekend with your grandson.

Hi Lynne, I have just always called those wild roses. When the buds are tight they look pink but they are white when opened. We have them along the lake bank. I let them just grow willy nilly along with the wild honeysuckle. Looks pretty and smells pretty all for free. :) ( I did a post on them several post back)

Hi Lynne,
I have that same rosebush and I didn't plant ours either. I found it growning under one of our Featherleaf Maple Trees, it was only a twig then. My husband wanted to just pull it out, but I planted it by our arbor and it's growing and blooming like crazy. I believe I posted a photo of it last year, asking if anyone could help me identify it, but I never was able to find out anything about it. Maybe one of our feathered friends planted them, how else did they get in our yard. I'll let you know if I find out anythhing, after seeing that you have one too, has renewed my interest in how it got here. The flowers does remind me of a strawberry blossoms.

Hugs
