Dreaming Of Green
Tuesdays are graciously hosted each week by Barb from her great blog GritsGlamour. A party for Tabletops, Vignettes and Favorite Accessories greet us, full of inspiration and beauty.
With all the cold temperatures we've had and falling snow once again, I'm dreaming of green, and lots of it, as I'm sure many of you are. Saturday evening I decided to play with a vignette on the dining room table. Here you'll see some of my "favorite" greens.
A scented candle in a beautiful green candle holder.
Beautiful green apples.
Flowers on a plate make me smile, knowing some day, soon, we can have the real thing.
A vintage green bowl.
The heaviest candle holder I've ever run across. My girlfriend gave this to me for my birthday many years ago. Over the course of the those years, I've used it for many other things besides holding a candle. In a future post, I've put a slightly different twist on this candle holder. :-))
This tulip shaped candle was a gift from my daughter a few years back.
A few vintage green dessert bowls. The only thing missing is a few of my favorite chocolate pieces. :-))
Brought all together and you have a vignette full of some of my favorite greens.
I hope you enjoyed your stop today. I've certainly enjoyed having you. Be sure to treat yourself by swinging over to Barb's for a full list of those participating in today's party, Tabletops, Vignettes and Favorite Accessories. I'll see you there....

Love your green's. I love the vintage bowls and the candle holders are very nice also.
They say green colors represent life~Thoughts of nature~hope of spring! This and so much more have you given us today :)
I need to spruce up some of my own vignettes...I am bit jealous LOL (is that the green-eyed monster muse sneaking in? NO no, that green is not welcome!
I really like your fabric draping too...adds so much to the setting!
Like your pretty vignette of greens. Tired of the Winter browns and grays - & white today!
You need to buy some Valentine chocolate to take care of that. I bought some for the grandkid's V. Day bags, but we keep sneaking it out. Hope I don't have to buy more before this weekend. It's snowy and cold in Colorado today; but maybe it will move south of you. Let's hope so you can have some green!! Sally
Lynne, I love to see your vignettes. They are always so inspirting. You made me want to jump up and start rearranging all of my tabletops. All of those greens are so pretty. Love those little green bowls that look like they are etched. Your cloth under it all is so pretty. laurie

Hi Lynne, everything is gorgeous. I adore the shade of green you are showing.
Hugs, Barb ♥
Lynne in my book you can never go wrong using green, I am such a green girl and your vignette is wonderful, it makes me happy just to look at it, great job,Kathysue
Love all the green. What a great vignette! I have a lot of green in my house. My kitchen and sunroom are a pretty green.
Love all the green items. Beautiful!!
Here in PH, our yards and foliage around here were damaged by the extreme cold we had in January. So much of our "green" is actually brown...even the palm fronds. The cold and ice were too much for them. The oak trees have begun to drop their leaves (it's
fall") and the new growth is just about ready to appear...the "blooms" are coming out, too...which means the pollen is going to be THICK (you should see the side of the pool!).
Wishing you green days...
Jane (artfully graced)
Love all the green. That is my favorite color & everything looks so pretty. I don't know how you deal w/ all that snow. We still have some, and it's starting to grate on my nerves. :oS

You do set such an elegant table! How do you get your name on all your pictures? Do you photoshop them? I'm thinking of going public again but don't want Savannah's or Trav's pictures stolen and used as someone's own daughter again. Any help would be appreciated.

Lynne-Hello dear!! Your green was a much needed breath of spring! I love all your piece sitting in the draped fabric. The greenery is pretty too--so lacy!
Your "greens" make me hope that Spring comes knocking on our door pretty soon...I've about had enough of the snow! Speaking of snow, I loved your snowy photos on a previous post...especially the one of the round concrete item! That was awesome.
Hope you are doing well.....dana
