Cockle Doodle Doo On Tablescape Thursday

I'm so happy to be participating once again with all you wonderful blogger's for Tablescape Thursday. Once again hosted by Susan from over at Between Naps on The Porch. Be sure to swing over by her beautiful blog for a list of all those participating this week with their beautiful tablescapes.

I did this post just a short time back, but wanted to repost for those that didn't get a chance to stop by. I love roosters and have many and thought this beauty made a beautiful centerpiece. His colors are so vibrant and work well with the dishes I chose. I have him perched on top of a cake stand I purchased a while back, flanked with beautiful faux grapes.

The faux grapes play well off the grapes around the base of the rooster.

The beautiful shade of green on the cake stand goes well with the rest of the dishes I'm trying to collect from this particular manufacturer. I know many of you have other colors that the Bordello group have made. I've found the quality to be amazing.

I've stacked the green ivy dishes on top of the wonderful white lace edged charger from Penney's. The ivory edged dishes were a gift from mother many years ago.

Bottom of plate.

The dotted swiss lace edge touches my heart each time I use them. The plate on top was a purchase many years ago at the Dollar General Store here in town. Around the edge you'll find wonderful raised fruit and flowers.

Bottom of plate.

I choice the napkins that match the tablecloth and wrapped them with wonderful beaded napkin rings. Purchased last year after Christmas on sale at Walmart. Stacked beauty.

From above

Can't get enough of this bling. :-)) Close up.

Green glasses came from Walmart last summer.

I'm sure you remember my bargain from Target. I love this flatware.
Crackled candleholders were a steal of a deal at Hobby Lobby many years ago. Close up. I can remember bringing these home and Mr. P making fun of me for buying something that looked broken. I had to smile and say, "that's the way they are suppose to look." He just shook his head. He didn't say a word but you know he was still trying to figure it all out.. lol

This dish was a great find at an estate sale.

Salt and pepper anyone?

From above.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed this "repeat" tablescape performance. Don't forget to treat yourself by swinging over to Susan's for a full list of beautiful tablescapes. And as always Susan, thank you for hosting another fun filled Thursday.

hugs ~lynne~

Hi Lynne
I thought of you yesterday...I stopped by Pier 1 to check their clearance shelf and found handcarved rooster place card holders...they were dark wood, but could easily be transformed with a little strategic paint.

Love the repost...the table is gorgeous!

This is beautiful, Lynne!! I love those pearly napkin rings! I love it all!

I wondered if I would get a table set, here at the lake. I did and cooked spaghetti and meatballs for lunch, so I have a foodie friday post too! I never know and am always surprised when I come up with something to write about!

J has just about caught his limit of crappie today. He stopped fishing long enough for lunch. He's back at it, as I type!

Your rooster looks so proud, up there on his cakestand perch, the center of attention! His colors are vibrant & all your greens work well together.

I'm amazed at how many of us used green in our TT this week.

Those *broken* glass hurricane candle holders are marvelous & I can just hear my DH saying the exact same thing. :D They just don't understand sometimes. LOL

Love the silverware. I'm so mad at myself every time I see those green glasses on someone's blog. I was going to buy them, and my Wal-mart clearanced them out before I knew it, so now I'm looking for them in Tuesday Morning, etc. They're pretty, and I'm glad you at least got some of them!
