~~~A Spot of Tea For You And Me~~~
It's been one of those weeks around here. Twelve and Thirteen hour days at the other job plus running my own shop and "major" computer problems. The desk top went down 3 weeks ago and Dell just couldn't find time to come out. Then the laptop starting throwing a hinky fit. Usually, when I come home from work I like to wind down by checking out my favorite blogs and returning comments. That was not the case, until late yesterday. Finally I got up and running. Thankfully, through all of the long hours I've had to put in  Mr. P has had a very good week.  So, I'm back. I've missed all of you!!  :-))
What better way to start off the week than with Chari at Happy to Design. She's hosting Sunday Favorites. A chance to repost some of our favorite past posts. This is my first time participating, I'm looking forward to the fun. Click here for a full list of those participating.
I thought I would share of one of my "favorite" tea sets. I posted this originally in February last year. My goodness where has the time gone? Many years ago I had a rose bedroom and this was the perfect compliment for that room. (Pictures originally taken with the old camera, I apologize for the quality. ) The swirl of the plate and the gold trim puts the finishing touch on the already beautiful plate.
I love the swoop of the handle. :-)See the reflection in the mirror? Yes, this originally set in the toile bedroom. The past few months have brought some changes in this room. Keep checking back. The changes will certainly surprise you. :-) I've enjoyed your visit today. Stayed tuned there are lots of new things coming .As you can see at the top of my blog only 30 short days to my 1 year Blogaversary. Starting tomorrow, you'll see "small" hints of things to come. I hope you keep checking back for the fun. Chari thanks for hosting this event today. Be sure to swing over by Happy to Design and check out the others participating. hugs ~lynne~
Absolutely Gorgeous Lynne. I so love the handle on that tea pot. It is just so stunning. And the scrollwork on that plate is so delicate and intricate. I can see what drew you to it. It is most unusual. Love it. Thanks for sharing.
I can understand your frustrations with your computer, I am a course developer and I am on a computer
10+ hours a day. Some days you just want to throw it right out the window, if I had one in my cubicle.
Please stop by and say hi. Country hugs, Sherry
Beautiful tea set. My mom and grandma Annie drank tea and this brings back memories of them. I got mom's brown teapot with dainty little flowers on it when she passed. I don't drink tea but it's a beautiful reminder of her. Love your set and the memories it gave me today. Sorry about your computer trouble. I hope that's all in the past now. My computer is sooooo slow to load pages anymore and it's frustrating. My son is going to look at it next weekend and see if he can help speed it up.
Mornin' Girlfriend...
Sorry that I'm just now getting over for your Sunday Favorites post. We had the kids this weekend and left early yesterday to take them back to their mothers...we didn't get home till 10 last night!
Anyway...I was so excited to have you join in with the fun of Sunday Favorites this week, Darlin'!!! What a fabulous post to reshare with all of us...ohhh, that pink rose tea set is absolutely gorgeous!!! You do have the prettiest things, my friend!!! Hmmm...so before the toile it was roses in that guest room? I think I understood that correctly! Well I know that I love the toile bedroom but I bet the rose decor was beautiful as well! Darlin', this post and your mention of the toile bedroom took me back to some of the sweetest memories of our friendship and RMS! So sweet!!! And you know that I just adore your toile bedroom...it's one of my "all time favorites" for bedrooms!!!
Thank you so much for sharing this gorgeous rose tea set with us...it's lovely!!!
Have a marvelous Monday, my friend!!!
Love ya,
Chari
