~~First Signs of Fall~~

As the last weekend of summer is upon us I wanted to share a couple of pictures I took last week. I took these while driving home from work one evening. ( please excuse the quality). I probably should have "stopped" to take them. But quite frankly I was ready to get home. :-)
As you can see Fall is definitely in the air in our part of the country. With all the rains we've had this year, our Fall foliage promises to be spectacular.
I hope everyone has a safe and happy Labor Day Weekend. Enjoy your families and all the smiles they give you. Remember someone here in blogland is sending a smile your way as well... hugs ~lynne~

The smile is coming right back at you!! I love the fall most of all. I love the colors, the sound of the leaves rustling as the blow around on a crisp autumn day, and just everything about it. October is my favorite time of year bz of that. Thanks for sharing your pictures with us! Cindy

I can't believe it's almost fall! It seems like we were all just waiting for spring. Time is flying by! I love this time of year, just not looking forward to cold weather. At least we are in Arkansas, it doesn't get too bad. Have a great weekend!! Kristen

Lynne,
thank you for stopping over.
The base I started with on one for my daughter was a grapevine and I layered a fall leave wreath over that and kept layering. I added the filler stems and sunflowers stems added the owl or witch and ribbon. Hobby lobby has beautiful fall and halloween ribbon. I have mine that I am working on that is just two fall leaves wreath and I will layer that. I have some black grows that I might put in them. I hope this helps.

Very pretty ... 3 weeks ago I took pics in WV of the beginning 'of the turning' ... I posted it last week to enjoy, also. Don't you love God's paint brush?

Have a beautiful weekend. TTFN ~ Marydon

Leaves where I live are just starting to get a little yellow in their tops. Can't wait for the full splendor of fall.

(rubbing my hands together) YES!! I love to see the leaves change...there is no better pallet of color than the one mother nature provides.

(hope you get to make those cute little pom-pom spiders)

Hi Lynne,
We have maples turning colors too! It seems early, but I guess not for the mid-west. Have a great labor day! Cindy

Oh I wish we had trees that turned different colors here. They are always so pretty. I love it. I can't wait to see what you've created for the cloche party. I am excited too. Last time I was so inspired by all the wonderful creativity everyone had to share. Hope you're having a great weekend. Hugs, Marty

Lynne, I love this. That is my kind of look with the old containers. Those apples look pretty real to me!
