~ Crisp Yellow, Blue and White ~

Searching through the archives I first posted this tablescape in 2009. I love the colors as much now as I did then.
Place mats are from a company I deal with in the shop. The quality is topnotch, the variety of colors and patterns are endless. The deep yellow and blue play well off the white charger from J.C. Penney's. Napkins are from TJ Maxx.
The yellow and blue dishes were purchased from Pier 1 on a shopping trip with Mr. P's Aunt Myrtie many years ago. I can recall her laughing and laughing at me while I poured through all the dishes. I was like a kid in a candy store, you see that was my first trip to a Pier 1. Can you say I lead a very sheltered life? Well yes you can.

Don't you love the romance of a candle on a table?

Blue stemware by Libby adds a touch of upscale class to a semi casual table.

Ready for some fried chicken.

From above....

You never know when and where you're going to find bargain flatware. Strolling the isles of the Dollar General the cart came to a screeching halt when I spotted this gorgeous blue flatware. Now, it's not the "best" quality but it sure is pretty. :)

Coffee anyone?

The famous Target birds.

When I chose the daisies for the white pitcher as the centerpiece it reminded me of the Doris Day movie,
Please Don't Eat the Daisies. Do you remember the movie? I miss those types of movies, full on innocence, lots of laughter and music. Doris could sure sing couldn't she?

This is beautiful Lynne! I love the colors & the daisies are perfect! Bet I bought 10 bunches of them this summer. Now they have the fall colors out & need to go shopping at Michael's again!
The placemats are beautiful! Are you still selling them at the shop?
Hugs!

Lynne, daisy's are my most favorite flower ever. I love the yellow and blue. That is my favorite color scheme all of a sudden and I use to hate it. Maybe that's old age. lol All of the dishes are stunning. I love the combination and such absolutely beautiful placemats. I need some of those really bad. You've put together a gorgeous tablescape. What a pretty setting! That shade of blue and yellow looks so pretty together. Like your gravy boat. The one that went with my good china got broken a few years ago and I refuse to pay a fortune for another one that is only used 1 or 2 times a year. Need to make a trip to Old Time Pottery.

I've decided that you are definitely the "Queen of Tablescapes!" I knew I'd see the winnings from Jessica displayed here soon! Also, it's funny to see you do a tablescape in yellow and blue. I've been looking for fabric to make a table runner ever since I saw a beautiful quilt made by Bridget at My Silly Blog. I haven't found quite what I want yet but those dishes would look divine with what I'm envisioning! Have a great day sweet friend!! Cindy

Hi Lynne,

Thanks for your visit and your concern, I'm ok, just lots of house guests. Things should be quieter after next weekend. Ever since the middle of May, it's been one thing after the other, some nice happenings,:) but others annoying.:( Things keep breaking, from major and small appliances to a hole someplace in the pool liner. It's getting to the point that we are wondering, what will go wrong next????????

Just a run of bad luck, and it will pass. (I hope) ;)

Love & Hugs
