Coneflowers Showing Off For Pink Saturday

Another week has passed and it's Saturday!! Pink Saturday girls. Hosted by our Beverly over at http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/myweblog.com. You can also click on my sidebar for a quick trip over for a wonderful day of Pink.

A few years ago I started adding yard art to the gardens. Yes, girls other than bunnies.. :-) I carried these wonderful signs in the shop for awhile. This one has been out in the yard for quite sometime. The cone flowers are loving all this heat the Midwest is dishing out our way. They are starting to pop all over the place. I love the fact they are so hardy, but word of warning...They can be very invasive.
(I'm trying my hand at a new camera, so bare with me girls.)

Looks like some are having a bit of an attitude doesn't it. Can't say as I blame them a whole lot. Our weather man has predicted a heat index here of a 114 for this weekend. Now, that's hot in any one's book.

Be sure to swing by Beverly's for a full assortment of beautiful Pink. I'll see you there.
hugs ~lynne~

Beautiful flowers! Know what you mean about the weather. Suppose to be 100 tomorrow with heat index of 110. I am getting cabin fever!

I love coneflowers, but have never tried them in our garden. Are they also good to cut and bring inside? Stay out of the heat, if you can. Sally

Your coneflowers are lovely, but for heaven's sake get out of the garden and into the air conditioning:-). Have a wonderful weekend.

Wow, that IS hot! It's amazing any flowers can grow at all. We moan if it hits the 70s (UK). Happy Pink Saturday!

I love your flowers, Lynne. And the garden area with the yard art is so pretty! It's been crazy hot everywhere hasn't it? Try to stay cool - my solution is to stay in side and blog lol! Hugs, Kathy

Lynne, these are beautiful! Thanks so much for stopping by. It's good to hear from you! Life's been pretty crazy lately but now that the wedding is over I hope to come and visit more often!

It's always hard to imagine the opposite season to what you're in. I know 114 degrees is 'hot' but can't imagine it in the cold of winter.

The flowers are very pretty. Have a lovely 'p9ink' week.

ciao for now,
Elena :)

Your cone flowers look VERY happy. It's nice that some things thrive in hot, sunny weather. Ripe, homegrown tomatoes coming soon -- there ARE rewards for enduring the heat of summer, aren't there?

Thanks for visiting me at Affordable Accoutrements -- looking forward to spending some time reading your older posts.
Take care, Bill
