This incredible spectacle you are about to see, takes place in Versoix, a town close to Geneva City, Switzerland. The water in the background is the Lema'n Lake. The beauty of the ice...

That is incredible and amazing! I've never seen that much ice!!! No, we really can't complain!
Holy cow, I don't think my handy cd case would help me scrape these windows! Makes me feel silly for griping about 30 degree (it may make me feel silly, but I doubt if it will stop me lol) Great pictures! kathy

Hi Lynne...the pictures were both wonderous yet scary-like something out of the days when the glaciers covered so much of the earth!! For the sake of those people, I hope there is a warm-up coming soon! :-)
Thanks for sharing some incredible photos. Your comments were pretty funny as well!!!

It's so beautiful but can you imagine trying to live during the winter! ♥

Hi Lynne,
This is amazing! I'm just speechless, thanks for sharing. Cindy
Oh my gosh, I need to throw on a warm sweater or blanket just to look at these pictures! You're right, we don't have it so bad!
Greetings Lynne, I am so thrilled to have you as a follower on my blog, please feel welcome and visit often. I will try to keep it interesting. You really should do the ribbon embrodiery again it is such a beautiful addition to almost anything. The ice pictures look like something out of a Sci fi movie. TTFN

Kathysue, how sweet of you to visit. I hope you're having a terrific day my friend.
hugs ~lynne~
Oh my goodness, Lynne! These are definitely the kind of scenes that make me appreciate my mild southern winters! Yikes! We may not get snow here in south GA, but thank the Lord we don't get ICE either. It is beautiful though...from afar. :-)
This ol' Georgia girl wouldn't know how to act in that kind of weather. We had an ice storm here in the early or mid seventies that shut the city down for several days.
My well off Aunt had to stay in a hotel/motel because of the loss of power in her total electric home. We actually fared better (though not as well off) because while we also lost power, we cooked and heated with gas.
We do have ice from time to time, but nothing like the earlier storm. These are truly amazing pictures, but I'm so glad to just be an onlooker.
Oh my, here i complain about our weather. Zip my mouth now. Actually the pictures are kinda beautiful in a horrific way. mishelle
Boy, it has to be C O L D for the icicles to freeze sideways like that!! Amazing photos.
Yes, we have a lot to be thankful for.
Oh, it's "thankful thursday".
Don't forget to take time for that.
I have 5 on my blog this morning, but so many more!!
Blessings on your day my friend.
Barbara Jean
Goodness.I can't imagine being in that much cold.I'd freeze to death. It is lovely,as long as it's 72 degrees as it is here today.wowowow.Where did you ever find this?
' I have a big hug award for you.I know you just won the mom award, which you do sooooooooo deserve...ann
I thought our weather was cold LOL.I have a new blog address. Googe ate my last one again.
UNBELIEVABLE! What amazing photos......I promise to stop exclaiming about how cold it was in Florida the past few day while we visited Disney World......this tour looks FAR colder :)
Oh my! I don't think I would go outside, until all that melted. We had an ice storm in the early 90's with massive power outages. I was fortunate and did not lose power, but had a house full of people that needed a warm place to sleep and eat. Not fun!
Glenda, how sweet of you to visit. I remember the ice in the 70's. We were without electricity for 10 days. Hubby was trucking, and away from home. My daughter and I played alot of cards, games and did alot of embroidery work. Thankfully, today we're looking at sunshine and warmth. hugs ~lynne~
Talk about a winter wonderland...those photos are incredible!
Can I just say...Brrrrrr! But what's relly wonderful, is the other months of the year...they are so blessed with so much beauty!
